Marine Conservation & Reef Monitoring in Hawaiʻi

Dive into an immersive marine conservation experience in Oʻahu designed for students who want adventure with purpose. This two-week program blends hands-on scuba training, real reef monitoring fieldwork, and outdoor exploration—giving students practical skills, meaningful impact, and an unforgettable introduction to marine conservation in one of the world’s most iconic ocean environments.

Over 14 days, students build a strong foundation in scuba diving by earning their PADI Open Water Diver Certification, gaining the confidence and technical skills needed to explore underwater ecosystems safely and responsibly. From there, students step into applied conservation work through a reef monitoring and ecological field training program, learning how scientists assess coral reef health, identify key marine species, and collect data that supports ongoing conservation efforts.

Beyond the reef, the program immerses students in Hawaiʻi’s unique outdoor and environmental culture. Surf the legendary North Shore, snorkel at Shark’s Cove, and participate in hands-on service projects that support local environmental stewardship and conservation initiatives.

This program is ideal for students interested in marine conservation, environmental science, or experiential learning. Participants leave with tangible field skills, recognized certifications, a deeper understanding of ocean ecosystems—and the confidence that comes from contributing to real conservation work in the field.
