Looking for a summer that goes beyond the ordinary? The Bali Summer Program is a 4-week immersive adventure that combines meaningful travel, outdoor exploration, and cultural connection in one of the most beautiful and spiritually rich destinations on Earth.

This program is designed for high school graduates and college students ready to step outside their comfort zones, experience something truly unique, and make a positive impact. Each week blends adventure, service, and wellness, giving you a holistic experience that’s both exhilarating and grounding.

Start your journey by hiking a volcano before sunrise, taking in breathtaking views from the summit. Spend your days snorkeling in crystal-clear reefs, discovering Bali’s incredible marine life, and soaking in the beauty of remote islands like Nusa Penida, known for its dramatic cliffs, white-sand beaches, and epic waterfalls.

This summer program offers four action-packed weeks: go from catching a volcano sunrise, and snorkeling through crystal-clear reefs to conservation projects, a transformational surf camp, and eco-friendly waterway cleaning! In between the excitement, unwind at a serene yoga retreat, and explore the vibrant local cafes.

You’ll also have the chance to volunteer at Scholars of Sustenance, an international food rescue foundation, helping reduce food waste and support communities in need. And don’t miss a getaway to Nusa Penida, where stunning beaches, cliffs, waterfalls, and diverse marine life await. Immerse yourself in Bali’s culture, contribute to its preservation, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Food Bank, Mangrove Restoration & Cultural Activities

Bali is an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, beaches, and coral reefs. Flying to the island, we will be met with clear water, jungle-covered land, and more islands than we can count. Our first few days will be spent making ourselves familiar with the island life in the seaside town of Sanur.

This week, we will get hands-on with valuable volunteer work at a local charity organization that aims to reduce food waste. They do this by rescuing good condition excess food from hotels and cafes and turning it into delicious, nutritious meals for orphanages and other people in need. We will help them by packing and distributing these meals, supporting efforts to ensure no one in Sanur goes hungry. We have one more day of volunteering ahead of us - this time helping on a mangrove and coral regeneration project nearby.

We then make our way to the rolling rice paddies of Tabanan on the Southwest Coast. We stretch our legs in the middle of these rice fields hidden from the rest of the world and stumble upon local villages, a honey farm, and friendly locals along the way. Aside from some of the most beautiful natural scenery on the island, Tabanan also hosts a lot of spiritual and cultural heritage like the local royal palace, which was built in 1343 and is open for us to explore.

We'll continue to immerse ourselves in the rich Balinese culture by getting hands-on making various Balinese cakes and flower arrangements, learning how to prepare our favorite Balinese dish, and might even get an introduction into Balinese traditional dance!

Animal Conservation and a Dolphin Trip

Our partner for the animal conservation project we carry out is a non-profit organization. Here they work to save, protect and improve the lives of all animals in Bali and beyond.

The organisation directly relieves the suffering of animals by providing emergency response and rescue, food and medication, rehabilitation and adoption. It practices humane population control, disease control and runs intensive education and advocacy programs for sustainable improvement to animal welfare now and into the future.

This organisation is funded entirely by donations and relies heavily on a staff of dedicated volunteers. This is where we will come in and really make a difference with the 4 days we have here.

We finish off the week with a dolphin watching tour in the waters just off the Bali coast. Here we will see dolphins duck and dive in and out of the water and playing with the boats.
