A lot of us today live in the fast lane and even find ourselves just ‘going through the motions’. One’s post high school experience (whether that be college, work life, or whatever path you chose) is often thought to be a continuation of this over-worked, over-connected, and over-stressed pattern. Maybe you resonate with this statement when reflecting on your time in high school or first year or so in college. Or maybe even planning what you’re doing with this “gap time” has been challenging.
Here at Pacific Discovery, we want to offer you breathing space and a chance to really get intentional about your upcoming journey.
Basecamp: Pacific Discovery Prep Retreat is an intentional jumping off point, thoughtfully orchestrated that allows YOU to choose how you will make the most of your program. It is designed to help you mentally prepare for what’s to come, while leaving you energized, emotionally balanced, and most importantly - absolutely stoked for the journey you’re about to embark on!
You’ll get to know your peers (and Pacific Discovery alumni) personally through fun activities, group discussions, and direct mentorship from a Guru Instructor, ensuring you’ll feel prepared before even stepping foot on the plane. You won’t want to miss this!
Basecamp is for all students participating in a Pacific Discovery program. Perhaps you’re a bit nervous about traveling internationally, navigating culture shock, or the food. Or maybe it’s the social aspects and you’d like to get a head start on creating connections with group mates headed to the same Program, or you think it’d be cool to meet others traveling during their gap time!
Like you, all participants in the Launch see their Pacific Discovery program as an incredible opportunity and aspire towards a meaningful gap experience.
Participants enjoy an early start to their Pacific Discovery experience and a dynamic itinerary that includes nourishing meals, personalized support, and built in “chill time” to allow for organic conversations and connections to be had. We think these are the most important oftentimes!
