Instructor Intro: Stacey Williams

Sawasdee ka naksuksa! Hi everybody. Welcome to PacDisco's Southeast Asia Semester -- I am so excited to return to one of my favorite regions in the world and explore it alongside you this fall. My name is Stacey and I will be half of your instructor crew alongside the stellar Beth Farrell. California native, I call Nelson, New Zealand home these days (where normally I work in the office with PD HQ).

What I love about working with Pacific Discovery is how everyone -- from the founders, Scott and Rachel, to each of you -- gets to fall in love with this beautiful planet and the people on it through outrageous adventures. We are going to have such a fun time this semester from climbing and hiking to temple visits and dining on some of the best food I've ever tasted. In the midst of all of this, we will ask deep and hard questions of ourselves and the world.

Before living in New Zealand, I was based in Thailand (where I'll greet you at the airport in just four weeks!). It is a country full of such beautiful humans who will welcome you with open arms and wide smiles.

As you prepare to head off, jump over to the Facebook group and introduce yourself. We'd love to hear about how you're feeling as you pack and any last minute questions that you might have. Beth and I are so looking forward to sharing this journey with you. We will see you in Bangkok!

Happy packing,

    Hello Beth and Stacey,

Our son, Henry Selis, is in Group B with you. We’re very excited about the upcoming adventure. I just wanted to say hello and thank you, in advance, for guiding him on this journey. I hope you all have fun, discover new and interesting things about yourselves and SE Asia, and that you all keep safe!

We’ll be following along via the blog and social media.

    Thank you again,

    Sam Selis
