Instructor Intro: Karlee Taylor
Hi everybody! I’m so excited to be exploring Australia and New Zealand with y’all! My name is Karlee and I’m one of your Program Instructors alongside the amazing Richard!
I grew up in a patch of Australian bush called Humbug Scrub in South Australia - but most recently I call Minjerribah (Stradbroke Island) home and this is where our journey will begin!
I have a real passion for the ocean where diving and swimming all year round has gifted me wonderful encounters with sea lions, dolphins and so many delightful critters! We are going to have such an amazing time following the East Australian Current this semester and then busting over to New Zealand for such an incredible variety of ecosystems we’ll trek, climb and canoe through!
What I'm most excited about is this is only the start of our adventure together - and you've all made the awesome decision to get out into the wild and start having adventures yourselves! Living adventurously is a choice that many people shy away from. So congratulations! If you're feeling a bit nervous... enjoy it!
Outdoors we learn quickly there is another rhythm than the human pace. The wonder and excitement we feel at the smell of the ocean, the forest, and the countless stars in clear night skies, will engender a feeling of peace and harmony with the natural world that you won't forget.
Any questions? Jump on over to our Facebook group and ask away! Curiosity and inquisitive minds make for an amazing journey!
Richard and I are so looking forward to embarking on this journey with you.
See you in Brissie!
