Leaving the hippie town of Pai, we started our lengthy journey of windy highway roads to Elephant Nature Park (ENP). Upon arrival, we were quickly introduced to our incredible tour guide, Apple. What an amazing two days! We were finally in one place long enough to call it "home." We woke up to meet the fabulous Yui for an authentic Thai cooking class. We started at the market where locals gather to sell their crops from the day. Tables of freshly picked fruits and vegetables were as far as you can see. In our minds, reading “climbing and caving adventure” on the itinerary filled our imaginations with images of plastic walls, two hour long safety demonstrations, and natural wonders gleaming in florescent lights and the flash of cameras from bundles of tourists.
