The South America journey continues in the Galapagos as all the students are overwhelmed with joy about seeing the unique biodiversity that it has to offer! The first day the group headed to the beach and were pleasantly (and sometimes unpleasantly) met with the presence of many, many sea lions.

Next up was a kicker rock snorkel tour lead by our guide Danny which was a unique experience to be able to see an array of colorful marine life and beautiful (but freezing!) water.

As we made our way around the islands, we were able to head to a ranch where the famous giant tortoise migrates through. The students were also met with a great lunch!

The students did lots of farm work using machetes cutting down guava, planting local plants and milking cows.

Unfortunately, as all things must end the students had to leave the Galapagos but went to the Salina in Quito and had a fun couple of days eating, sightseeing and exploring Quito.

From Quito, we moved to Agato where the students went on a hike to a lovely waterfall deep in the woods with members of their homestay families!

The students went with their families to check out the day of the dead celebrations Otavalo where they got to experience a lot of the cultural practices from the Agato community!

At the end of the week the students put on formal Ecuadorian dress and show off their newfound skills from the Agato homestay. And from here we continue to Banos for some exciting adventures!
