Instructor intro: Caitlin Neal
Hi New Zealand and Australia team! I hope you're looking forward to your up and coming Semester Gap Year Program - I can't believe we'll all be embarking on this adventure so soon. I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself, so you all feel as though you know me a little bit before our program start date!
As a child I lived in many places, from North Carolina to Germany and I had an adventurous heart and open outlook from a young age. I have a passion for the arts and this lead me to a liberal arts college nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. These ancient, quartz crystal mountains are where I discovered a longing for all things involving the great outdoors. I graduated with a BS in Communications with a focus in theater, I was also a member of the sustainability and environmental awareness club.
Since graduating I've worked as a guide in wilderness therapy groups, which I have absolutely loved! I've gone on to study more and of course travel has continued to be a big part of my life, entwining this passion for exploring with photography - I now have quite the portfolio! In between leading programs I reside on the Big Island of Hawaii where I enjoy bike riding, boogie boarding, gardening, painting and ever so often a great hip hop dance class!
Can't wait to meet you all next month!
