Instructor intro: Amy Moren-Rees

Meet Amy

Hi all, I hope you're looking forward to your up and coming trip to South East Asia!

I will be one of your Program Leaders and therefore wanted to introduce myself to you prior to departure.

So... I'm Amy! I grew up in both the Danish and Welsh country side, having a parent from each country. Since I was a little girl I have always loved the outdoors, always trying out new sports and adventures. I started out with scouts and swimming. I have always loved camping life and enjoyed the challenge of pushing myself - specifically in competition swimming. As I grew older I decided to follow my longtime dream of going to Africa, this took me to Tanzania for a year where I worked with both orphaned children and organized tours for fellow volunteers. Since Africa I have worked at summer camps in Indiana, USA and Vietnam where I would combine my love for the outdoor adventure life and working with children and young adults. During my degree I travelled the world to learn and understand different religions, cultures and history. I'm excited to be co-leading your Semester Gap Year program to South East Asia alongside Gabby, we're going to have a lot of fun and learn so much.

See you very soon!
