Nepal

From frenetic Kathmandu to serene Himalayan vistas, Nepal has something for everyone. The Himalaya mountain range runs across Nepal, and eight of the world's ten highest mountains, Mount Everest included, are within its territory. For a relatively small country Nepal has diverse environments, ranging from the semi-tropical Terai in the south to the mountainous Himalayas in the north. Nepal is a multi-cultural, multi-linguistic, multi-religion country. Hinduism is practiced by a huge majority of the people, but the country also has a strong Buddhist tradition - Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha is located in Nepal. Nepal is a country in transition and is currently changing from a monarchy to a federal democratic republic.

Whether you want to experience multi-day rafting or trekking among the world’s highest mountains, wildlife spotting on elephant safari, shopping for gorgeous fair trade handcrafts, insightful Buddhism and meditation classes, or getting hands-on volunteering on our community project partnerships – Nepal has it all – and we’d love you to journey with us in this fascinating country.
