Gecko Trails is shedding its skin...

In 2009 our Gecko Trails trips will be brought under our Pacific Discovery banner.

Essentially, the only change is that our trips are going to be even better – by simplifying our structure we can now focus on what we really love – developing and running fantastic trips!

Rachel Sanson and Scott Burnett founded Pacific Discovery and Gecko Trails in 2001. In the beginning we created two separate identities:
- As Pacific Discovery, offering experiential education programs for US university students.
- As Gecko Trails, offering small group tours in collaboration with Jennie and Roger Wilson.

As we've grown, we've realised that we needed to merge these two identities because we wanted to share developments at Pacific Discovery with our Gecko Trails clients and vice versa. Plus, too much of our energy was going into maintaining dual websites and publications. Oh yes...and Pacific Discovery won out over Gecko Trails - it is still fairly unique - whereas we now know of at least 3 other travel companies running trips in Asia under the name Gecko 'something'!
